All the information you need is below.

For players Born 2013- 2017

Play a more technical type of football.

Summary

TST Futsal : Let them play!

‘TST futsal‘ compliments the TST Saturday sessions.
  • If you feel ‘club-land’ is getting further and further away from a technical base, as more and more coaches teach players how to press and squeeze from a very young age (rather than encouraging them to play) then this may offer an additional component to a players development journey. Or maybe you have a player who just loves the game and loves playing, and wants to play more.
Either way :  Get involved in a TST Futsal session (on Sunday afternoons in Kew for players U7 to U11).

TST Futsal : What to expect

  • It will be purely a games based session. The aim being to let players play as much as possible.
  • It will not be a coaching session.

TST Futsal : What time will it run?

  • U7/U8/U9 –  2pm-3pm
  • U8/U9/U10 –  3pm-4pm
  • U9/U10/U11/U12 – 4pm-5pm

The above will be subject to getting sufficient numbers.

The groups are organized more on ability than age. This will ensure every player gets to play at the right level for them.

For players who could be in more than 1 group – we will keep it quite fluid. Players will be able to move levels during the term (week to week) based on what is thought to be the best thing for them at the time. For these players, the aim will be to get the right balance between enjoying the sessions whilst also being challenged.

TST Futsal : How many players will be involved in a session?

  • Each session will have about 15 players involved. This will allow us to make 3 teams on the day. This ensures players get lots of game time (and also some rest time).
  • Note : Spots per session is limited to 20 players max. Free spots will be offered to TST players, then it will be opened up up to non TST players.
  • Teams will be made / tweaked on the day with the aim of making the teams as competitive as possible.
  • All players will need to share goal keeping responsibilities.

TST Futsal : What are the plans for the future?

  • Over time TST Futsal may grow into a ‘futsal club‘,  with training sessions, a comp to play in and tournaments to enter.
  • The long term goal is to offer an alternative to what clubland currently offers.
