TST 5-a-side
TST futsal hybrid
If you are serious about being a player then small sided games are a must. 2v2s, 3v3s and 5-a-side are simply the best way to improve.
If you aren't getting regular exposure to 2v2s, 3v3s and 5-a-side then you are missing out. In our attempt to promote the development of more technical players, TST gives players who love the game the chance to simply play.
'Futsal hybrid' means we drop some futsal specific rules — like the playing back to the keeper rule — so the game keeps flowing and players keep getting the ball.
Players do not have to do TST on Saturday afternoons to get involved. Teams are organised on the day so every team is competitive.

Why get involved
Let them play
Club-land keeps moving further from a technical base, with players taught to press and squeeze from a very young age rather than encouraged to play. This puts the game back in their hands.
No pigeon holes
If your player is locked into one position or a very restrictive way of playing, this is a safe environment to play differently and try things.
More football
Some players just love the game and want to play more. Futsal is the fastest way to accumulate touches under pressure — the ball never leaves play.
What to expect
- A purely games based session — this is not a coaching session. The aim is to let players play as much as possible.
- Groups are organised on ability more than age, so every player plays at the right level for them.
- Players who fit more than one group stay fluid and can move week to week, balancing enjoyment with being challenged.
- Three teams play a mini round robin so there is plenty of game time and some rest time. With smaller numbers we play one 5v5.
- All players share goalkeeping responsibilities.
- Beginners will find it too tough — every player in the program is currently a good player for their age.
Cost and how it works
- Do a trial session first, then decide whether to commit for the rest of the term.
- New players who join mid term get the pro rata early bird price.
- $15 per session per player when paid in full and in advance for the rest of the term — 10 weeks is $150.
- Existing players who miss the early bird deal pay $20 per session, pro rata, in advance.
- The fee locks in a spot in the program, not individual sessions. There are no missed session credits or refunds; cancelled session credits roll forward into next term.
- Pay as you go at $20 a session is available if there are spaces — confirm a spot before dropping in.
What's next for TST futsal
The format is moving to promotion and relegation so teams test themselves in different ways each week and can see their progress.
Over time TST futsal may grow into a futsal club, with training sessions, a competition to play in and tournaments to enter — a genuine alternative to what club-land currently offers.
