The game is ultimately played with your head up (because constant checking and scanning is essential), but this is not possible without the ability to interact with the ball at a sub-conscious level.Repetitive footwork practice and regular exposure to playing in tight spaces (1v1s, 2v2s, 3v3s etc) leads to instinctive technical application, whilst making better decisions about which spaces to use and where you want the ball to go. Or in other words : Makes you a better player.3v3s are taking over in Europe : We have been doing this for 20 years. We also use unique 3v3 rules to help amplify and accelerate technical development. Firstly it is about learning to recognize the best space to use.
Then it is about getting the ball to the best space as effectively and efficiently as possible. This is what footwork development is for.
Efficient, effective and intelligent footwork doesn't happen by chance. It needs to be developed.
So at TST we build touch, footwork, football intelligence and confidence on the ball to a level club training cannot reach.

On the ball intelligence
Touch and footwork count for nothing without knowing which space is the best space to use when on the ball.
Off the ball intelligence
Players spend most of the game off the ball. 3v3s create the environment to develop scanning, positioning and movement.
